Whilst animal print has been in fashion for a while, mock croc, in particular, is all the rage this season. High street stores and luxury brands alike are embracing the trend, incorporating it into all items from clothing, to belts, bags and shoes.

Mock croc has the ability to look expensive without the exotic price tag or ethical implications. We’re in an age now where consumers are becoming increasingly concerned with where products come from and the ethical and environmental impacts that producing the products have. Many luxury brands are becoming more ethical, moving away from the use of exotic animal skins towards using alternatives, in order to create the same effect but in a more sustainable way. And celebrities are here for mock croc too, with countless celebrities being spotted wearing mock croc accessories, clothes and shoes. Even royalty is on board with the trend, with Kate Middleton (fellow bunion sufferer alert!) having been spotted carrying mock croc accessories numerous times.

The mock croc print adds a level of texture to any outfit, making it slightly bolder and edgier whilst still looking classy and timeless. Its versatility also makes it appealing due to the fact you can incorporate the trend into your wardrobe in any way you feel comfortable whether that be through a subtle accessory such as a belt, or in a larger outfit component such as a pair of shoes. The ability for the print to be made in many different colours also adds to its appeal; it allows the ability to express individual style whilst still incorporating a mass trend into a look. Calla's Camila boots are offered in both red and black, meaning you can choose to be as subtle or as bold as you like to suit your personal preferences!
